After much discussion, myself and my then fiancee made the decision to get some cosmetic dentistry before our wedding. Although neither of us had any major issues, we were both very much insecure about our teeth for different reasons – having seen recent photos in the years building up to the wedding. We wanted to know if there was anything we could do to alleviate some of this insecurity with the wedding photos in mind. We did a lot of research into different surgeries and went to Church Road to have a chat about the different options available to us.

Immediately, we were impressed with the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. We had an idea of our budget and an idea of what we wanted to have done, but we had no idea of how feasible it was. After the initial chat we felt very reassured that it was affordable to have our teeth corrected. The next step was to meet the dentist (Stephen) and talk about the options in more detail. However the main issue for us was the timescale!

We can’t deny that we left it far too late to make a decision about whether or not we were going to get our teeth done. With wedding planning taking over our lives and finances, we could not have made the decision any sooner. It was probably two months before the wedding that we realised we would have room in our budget for the teeth!

However, despite all of this, the staff at Church Road, and in particular Stephen, made every effort to fit in with our timescales – working out of hours to make sure that we could get the appointments in and finish the work before the wedding. Having met Stephen, we felt very reassured that we would both be able to improve our teeth within the time and budget constraints that we had. Considering what it meant to us to have it done before the wedding, we will be forever grateful for this.

With regard to the results, you can see for yourself from the before and after photos! We are both delighted with our teeth. There wasn’t a single point during the whole day when we felt conscious about our smiles. I can’t understate how important this was to us. There had been times in the past few years when I have purposely kept my mouth closed on photos since I knew that the camera flash occasionally made my front teeth appear grey. The fact that we didn’t need to worry about this on the day really allowed us to enjoy ourselves! Anyone who has flicked through our wedding photos can see how happy we are and the smiles on the photos capture this perfectly!

As I’ve already mentioned, it was very important to us to get the teeth sorted for the wedding. However, taking the wedding out of it, I should also stress that we are still really pleased we got our teeth corrected! I know that in years to come, we will look back on it as a really good decision; our only regret is that we didn’t do it earlier! The flexibility of options with regard to cost and the and comfort of getting the work done turned out to be much less hassle than we thought it would be.

I want to use this opportunity to thank Stephen and all of the staff at Church Road for this experience. Thanks for making it so easy for us, thanks for all the advice and reassurance, thanks for the extra effort you put in to get us ready for the wedding and, most importantly, thanks for the smiles!
