Filling in the Gaps

Here’s a great case study from one of my patients who recently had a combination of dental implant treatment and cosmetic work. The patient previously wore a denture to replace his missing central incisor tooth, but was keen to find a more permanent solution which felt and looked just like his natural teeth.

After taking the patient through his treatment options and likely results, he decided to go ahead with dental implant treatment. As you can see from the before and after pictures, I placed a single dental implant to replace his missing left central incisor, a new crown on the upper right central incisor and porcelain veneers on the lateral incisors. The patient is extremely happy with how the implant and additional cosmetic work have transformed his smile and he particularly likes how natural his teeth look.

Dental implants are an effective and proven way of replacing missing teeth. However, they may not be suitable for everyone, which is why it’s essential that you seek advice from a dentist that you trust. The dentist should give you a full consultation and outline all your treatment options. You can then decide whether dental implant treatment is the route you’d like to pursue.
