Shaping a New Smile

A patient who was looking to make his smile stand out a little more came to see me recently for a consultation. His teeth were in good health and he had good alignment, however he still wanted to improve their shape and overall appearance. Ultimately, he was looking for a more symmetrical and even whiter smile.

For this patient, composite veneers were a good option, as well as whitening to make the colour consistent and brighter across all of his upper teeth.

After a course of home whitening for two weeks, the patient was ready for his next stage of treatment. I shaped and bonded composite veneers to 10 of his visible upper teeth. The 10 teeth worked on were those visible on smile.

As you’ll see from the before and after pictures, the results were excellent and the composite veneers have given the patient the symmetry he was looking for.

Composite veneers are a cost-effective solution to improve the appearance of your smile if your teeth are already straight. They are shaped and bonded by the dentist, so make sure you’re confident that whoever you see has excellent attention to detail to give you the results you want. It’s also really important that you have a consultation with your dentist first who can assess your suitability, as well as advise on all other treatment options.
